In a society driven by imagery, our perception of reality suffers and our trust
in authenticity and truth is tested. The awareness of this in relation to
personal recorded imagery ultimately creates a giant contrived evidential
memory book. Much of my work is done in an effort to trick or counteract the
conditions that feed that response in order to access the more vulnerable side
of human nature.
Kids are easy to find that in. On some level they understand the permanence of
the moments being recorded, but not enough to be bothered with analytical self-dissection.
